About Hillsborough County Criminal History

Hillsborough County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, criminal courts, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, corrections agencies, and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Registry. The right source depends on the record sought. This private resource organizes official portals, addresses, and phone numbers for Hillsborough County and Tampa so readers can identify the proper custodian.

Why We Built This Site

Florida provides broad access to many justice records, yet no office keeps every part. HCSO maintains its booking, jail, and warrant information. The Clerk keeps filed charges and dispositions. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Division of Criminal Justice Information Services, Criminal History Records, maintains the statewide repository. Corrections records and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Registry are separate. This resource arranges the official contacts, portals, fees, and request routes in one local framework.

What You Will Find Here

  • Official check instructions: how FDLE name searches and fingerprint-based self-review differ
  • Agency contacts: routes to HCSO, Hillsborough courts, and Florida record systems
  • Record relief information: Florida sealing and expunction steps and filing offices

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, with no affiliation to a Florida court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

An official copy must come from the agency that maintains it, such as HCSO, the Hillsborough Clerk, or FDLE. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot issue the document.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes on some pages and control their prices, services, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's charge or determine what its search returns.
